Okay, now that you have read about it, how can you not agree that this sounds exactly like the Federally controlled military going into American cities to practice and gain experience in "policing" us? Sure, they can say its for urban warfare experience...hell the government will tell you a lot of things that make sense in the publics eye. When it comes down to the truth, this is nothing more than the government excising control over our public. We already have military being deployed/displayed in most of our most public places, including airports and sports arenas. And for those of you that actually believe these military personnel are here solely for our protection (if at all)...then you need to open your eyes.
What will it take before people in the United States actually wake up? How many of our sacred freedoms do we have to lose? How much of our land do we have to give up? We are letting the government have more and more control over us and we are doing it without objection! Throughout history people have been promised by their governments that if they give up rights and freedoms it will be for the greater good, for security, a "utopia" if you will. And throughout history all that results from giving up your rights and freedoms is tyranny and persecution. Dating back to Nero in Rome when he had half the city burned and blamed it on the Christians. He got the population behind him by using a certain group of people as a scapegoat and by telling them that if they gave up freedoms that they had...they would be more secure. Even to the days of Hitler in Nazi Germany. Hitler also had the Reichstag building burned and blamed it on communists. At first glance, Hitler described the fire as a beacon from heaven.
"You are now witnessing the beginning of a great epoch in German history...This fire is the beginning," Hitler told a news reporter at the scene.
After viewing the damage, an emergency meeting of government leaders was held. When told of the arrest of the Communist arsonist, Van der Lubbe, Hitler became deliberately enraged.
"The German people have been soft too long. Every Communist official must be shot. All Communist deputies must be hanged this very night. All friends of the Communists must be locked up. And that goes for the Social Democrats and the Reichsbanner as well!"
Hitler left the fire scene and went straight to the offices of his newspaper, the Völkischer Beobachter, to oversee its coverage of the fire. He stayed up all night with Goebbels putting together a paper full of tales of a Communist plot to violently seize power in Berlin.
At a cabinet meeting held later in the morning, February 28, Chancellor Hitler demanded an emergency decree to overcome the crisis. He met little resistance from his largely non-Nazi cabinet. That evening, Hitler and Papen went to Hindenburg and the befuddled old man signed the decree "for the Protection of the people and the State."
The Emergency Decree stated: "Restrictions on personal liberty, on the right of free expression of opinion, including freedom of the press; on the rights of assembly and association; and violations of the privacy of postal, telegraphic and telephonic communications and warrants for house searches, orders for confiscations as well as restrictions on property, are also permissible beyond the legal limits otherwise prescribed."
The people of Germany also had their means of protection (firearms) taken away. And if you look at most other governments it is the same way. People in the USA think that this can never happen to them. We are so naive to what is actually happening because that is how they want it to be. WAKE UP PEOPLE! The only way we are going to be able to stop our government from having total control over us, not being able to detain us for no reason, and spy on us is to get this information out! America was built on the people rebelling against what their current government was doing to them. Rights and freedoms being taken away is not something to be taken lightly! There is nothing more American than protesting or breaking an truly UNJUST law!
